May 2001 and the open top bus was emblazoned with ‘Tell Yer Ma We Did It!’, Liverpool having just won three trophies - the League, FA and UEFA Cups. Liverpool then beat Bayern Munich 3-2 to win the UEFA Super Cup and reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, losing 4-3 on aggregate to Bayer Leverkusen. In 2002-03 they got to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup, having been knocked out of the Champions League in the group stages. As worn by players such as Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, Emile Heskey, John Arne Riise, Jamie Carragher and Sami Hyypiä.
